I read Allegiant for my independent reading book this quarter. It is the final book of the Divergent trilogy by Veronica Roth. This boom is about Tris, Tobias (a couple) and their friends who lived in a government lie.The thing is that after they found out that their city`s life was all an experiment to correct damaged genes , they leave their "city" and try to give the government a chance to correct their mistake. They found out that genetically damaged people are not as equally viewed as genetically pure people (divergent) and start trying to change that.The protagonists are Tris and Tobias and the antagonists are the government as a whole but individually David (their leader). The setting is a post-war America, which are only ruins and forest. The only "preserved" building is an airport where all the government is installed and where they control all the experiments.
I like this story a lot because the author wasn´t afraid of killing very important characters in a battle or unexpectedly so the reader is never going to expect what happens next. I also love Tris and Tobias`relationship so much because they have gone through a lot and are still together no matter what. Her writing is amazing because she writes in a way that you feel identified with what she is writing even if it is good or bad, sad or happy. You also have the opportunity to know other characters who you fall in love with and cry if something happens to them because you know them and their personalities just as you know your friends`personalities.
